JHP_111230_1508Ocean Sunrise, Belize
Beautiful Belize. This is one of those photos that makes me want to go back again soon. The vibrant sunrise over the ocean was a sight to see and the birds thought so as well... watching from a front row seat.
JHP_120107_1913Belize Culture Boat
So many images of the Tropics include bright, vibrant colors of which are well incorporated into the culture. In the photo above and below there is no exception to this. I just love the blue boat floating upon the warm blue water and it makes me smile.
JHP_120108_1919Caye Caulker, Wish Willy Restraunt, Belize
On Caye Caullker there is a wonderful little unassuming restaurant that is always packed. The chef at Wish Willy's is world class and often the menu is filled with local fresh catch and an ever changing chef's whim which makes it really exciting. Go for dinner or brekky.

Another peaceful and serene morning from the deck of our hotel. I especially like the boat out at sea... it reminds me of a pirate ship in a fairytale.
JHP_111226_1373City Street, Belize
Amongst the streets in Belize. I don't remember which island town this was but it is a common sight of Belize streets to have shoeless people, golf carts and bicycles and a wide array of intermixed power lines strung from here to there in no apparent order.
JHP_111226_1364Belize City Harbor, Belize
This is the harbor in Belize City. The harbor held a mix of boats and waterway villas near the main ferry terminal.
JHP_120102_1784City Street, Belize
San Ignacio city street, venders and local bus stop. Close to the Equator the weather is often rainy and humid as it was on this day when we waited for a bus. While we waited we enjoyed watching the local trade scene.

An afternoon on the dock almost always included local children often catching fish. Life is slower and simple here on the island of Caye Caulker.
JHP_120104_1838Belize
This is a sunset from a very small island of Tobacco Caye off the coast of mainland Belize. The island is just 1 acre large but boasts a dive shop, bar and a couple of accommodations, many in the form of a hut over the water for a perfectly simplistic but romantic getaway.
Thank you for reading. I look forward to hearing comments or answering questions. Remember to click on any photo you like to be directed to the correlated gallery. The option to purchase prints can be found there and I would appreciate an order of any size. Cheers - Jess
