I had a plan to do this weeks post on Thanksgiving and include photos of turkeys, harvest and other related holiday themed images but while I was editing some images from last month I realized I wanted to keep it simple and just give thanks to the little things in life that make me smile.

In one of the RV parks we were posted up at this fall the rain had been coming down and the air turned colder.  Upon going outside for a walk with the dog I couldn't help but relish in the bountiful and beautiful colors of the fall leaves.  There were yellows and oranges and of course reds.  To make it even more interesting the picnic tables were painted red and harbored many of the fallen red leaves.

The water clung to natures artwork. The fresh smell in the air signaled the season change and I immediately took a long and happy sigh; the ones that end with a long hmmmmmmm, signifying happiness and content.  I took out my cell phone for a few photos and then decided that my DSLR was defiantly needed to capture what I was seeing and feeling.

This photo shoot is very simple and only took a few minutes of shutter clicking and even less in post production as the light and scene were just right.

So I am so thankful to my parents for instilling in me a love of nature and the outdoors. I am thankful for the simple things that nature does for us everyday and the circle of life that occurs on this planet.   I am thankful for a husband that encourages my photography.  Without these things I wouldn't be smiling now looking back on such a lovely moment.

It's the little things to be thankful for.
